Dr. Tenecia Allen graduated magna cum laude from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. She went on to attend Medical School at Emory University in Atlanta, GA where she was awarded the Alumni Medical Scholar and the Deans Scholar academic scholarships. She completed both her Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology training at Emory University.

Dr. Allen is board eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography. Her hospital affiliations include DeKalb Medical Center and DeKalb Medical at Hillandale. Dr. Allen performs cardiac catheterization, transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, and consultations.

Her clinical interests include Women’s Health, Hypertension, Cardiovascular Disease prevention, and management of Congestive Heart Failure.

Dr. Allen enjoys traveling, spending time with family, reading, and salsa dancing. In her personal time, she stays active with service both in her community and internationally. She has been involved in numerous medical mission trips to the Caribbean, helped to organize community health fairs, and she has mentored both high school and college students interested in careers in science.
